Our Process

Let’s see how we would work on a project or product.

Surface preparation

The surface of the material to be plated is first cleaned and degreased thoroughly to ensure that the chrome layer will adhere properly. This may involve using solvents, detergents, or other cleaning agents, as well as mechanical abrasion or blasting to remove any surface contaminants.

Masking

Any areas that are not intended to be plated are then masked off using tape or other materials to protect them from the plating process.he auto plant performs careful removal of the masking materials, ensuring that the plated areas remain intact and any residue is cleaned off.

Plating process

The surface of the material is then etched using an acid solution to create a rough surface that will help the chrome layer adhere.A bath of chromium salts and an electrolyte solution is prepared, and the temperature and pH levels are carefully controlled to ensure optimal plating conditions. The process may take several hours depending on the thickness of the desired chrome layerOnce the plating process is complete, the material is removed from the bath and rinsed thoroughly to remove any excess solution or residue.

Plating bath preparation

A bath of chromium salts and an electrolyte solution is prepared, and the temperature and pH levels are carefully controlled to ensure optimal plating conditions.

Plating process

The material to be plated is then immersed in the plating bath and an electrical current is passed through the solution, causing the chromium ions to bond to the surface of the material. The process may take several hours depending on the thickness of the desired chrome layer.

Post-plating treatment

Once the plating process is complete, the material is removed from the bath and rinsed thoroughly to remove any excess solution or residue. It may also be treated with a post-plating solution to further enhance the adhesion and durability of the chrome layer.

Polish & Finishing

The final step is to remove any masking materials and polish or finish the plated surface to the desired texture or shine. The auto plant has the responsibility of ensuring that the hard chrome plating meets the required quality standards. The auto plant has the responsibility of ensuring that the hard chrome plating meets the required quality standards.
